Somatic, Internal Family Systems, and EMotion Focused Therapy
Healing through embodiment, nervous system regulation, and compassionate parts work
A return to Belonging and Aliveness
You may have done years of personal growth, insight, or talk therapy — and still feel caught in patterns of anxiety, overwhelm, relational pain, or nervous system exhaustion.
This is often because the roots of these patterns live not only in thoughts, but in the body and nervous system.
At The Embodied Self, I offer and integrated blend of modalities that are heavily influenced by training in Somatic therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Emotion Focused therapy. I work with clients throughout CO and NC who want a deeper, more integrative path to healing. Our work attends to sensation, emotions, stories we tell, breath, parts of self, and nervous system states so change happens from the inside out.
This is therapy for people who want more than coping.
This is therapy for people ready for transformation.
I approach therapy from a bio-psycho-social-spiritual model, a holistic framework that looks at the whole person—body, mind, relationships, and meaning. Rather than focusing only on symptoms, this approach recognizes that our physical health, emotional life, social environment, and sense of purpose are deeply interconnected and constantly shaping one another.
Who This Work Is For
This work may be a good fit for you if you:
Feel anxious, overwhelmed, or chronically tense
Identify as creative, artistic, neurodivergent, highly sensitive, empathic, or emotionally attuned
Struggle with relationship or attachment patterns
Feel disconnected from your body or inner sense of safety
Have experienced trauma or complex PTSD
Are drawn to depth, embodiment, and self-understanding
Many of the people I work with are thoughtful, self-aware, and seeking a therapy experience that honors the whole person —
body, mind, and soul.
How I Work
My approach blends:
Somatic Therapy — working with the body and nervous system as essential pathways for healing
Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT) — access, deepen, explore, express, and transform emotion
Internal Family Systems (IFS) — compassionate parts work that helps your core Self lead with clarity and calm
Together, these approaches support lasting change by addressing both physiology and inner experience.
What It’s Like to Begin
Starting therapy can feel vulnerable. I offer a free 15-minute consultation so you can ask questions and see if this feels like a good fit.
You don’t need to know exactly what to say — simply reaching out is enough.
Recovery and Resolution happen when we regain a felt sense of safety and trust. This means having capacity feel and witness our traumatic experiences and the accompanied emotions without feeling overwhelmed or threatened.
“Health is not merely of the body. It is the natural expression of the body, mind and soul when they are in rhythm with the One Life. True health is the harmony of life within us, consisting of peace of mind, happiness and well-being. It is not merely a question of physical fitness, but is rather a result of the soul finding free expression through the mind and body of the individual.” —Dr. Randolph Stone, DO, DC Founder of Polarity Therapy
